Hibiscus Cafe

3000 N. Federal Highway Fort Lauderdale, FL 33306 | Wilton Manors | 954-533-7224

Location Description:

This charming spot tucked away in a retro shopping plaza is a terrific place to take your mother or aunt for a light breakfast, lunch, or afternoon tea. Mismatched tables, window dressings, hardwood floors, and area rugs shape a space that feels like a shabby-chic home. Opened in June 2010 by Sheryl Mauro, the restaurant features a litany of sandwiches named after friends, such as Jodi’s favorite with turkey, goat cheese, and pesto on a tomato panini; or Kathy’s favorite crabcake. Stick-to-your-bones comfort food also debuts in homemade soup, like cheddar corn chowder or Southwestern black bean. For breakfast, try the migas (eggs, jalepeño, cheddar, crumbled chips, and salsa) or an egg and cheese on a croissant that’s made in-house. Mauro throws occasional Friday happy hours with Prosecco, craft beers, and homemade sweets and savories you will learn about should you connect with Hibiscus Cafe on Facebook.
