The already nice restaurant of Fort Lauderdale’s Pelican Grand hotel received a major overhaul of swank in early 2013. The coastal-inspired Ocean 2000 has been upgraded to sleek white leather finishes, contemporary lighting, and an oceanic feel. The menu has also changed to reflect the South Florida landscape with nods to the area’s Latin influence. Fresh fish and seafood, ceviches, roasted cuban pork shank, and guava barbecue ribs are featured next to hotel classics like caesar salads and strip steaks.
