Capsule description: Thasos is the first Florida project from restaurateur couple Sophia Mylona and Gus Leontarakis. The two have deep ties to fishing and the Greek coast, and in South Florida found a place similar to home, the island of Thasos in the northern Aegean Sea. The menu consists mostly of small plates and features many classic Greek dishes like spanakopita (Greek spinach pie), saganaki cheese, keftedes (lamb meat balls), and a variety of seafood, including Mediterranean fish. Prices here are on the high end, but fresh ingredients and smart execution make it worth the extra money.
