This itty-bitty storefront taco shop caters to an Oakland Park neighborhood clientele of mostly Hispanic folks, plus a few stray gringos shuffling in and out of the door. Cornmeal tortillas are made fresh daily and are used as fluffy envelopes for mounds of beans and rice or crisp discs for quesadillas. A menu scripted in Spanish offers tamales, salads, tacos, enchiladas and flautas that are decidedly authentic and reasonably priced. Takeout is preferred but a few stools and seats are available for dining in. Things are going so well here that a second location in Pompano Beach was recently added.
