Modernesque Burlesque is a troupe unlike any others. The troupe is owned and self managed by three veteran South Florida performers who grew increasingly tired of the usual exploitation, and who now vow to bring you a show unlike any that has been done before. The only goal in mind is to change the public perception towards burlesque by re-inventing the art through honoring classic traditions yet showcasing modern talents. Performers range from ages 21 through 35 and all live by the creed, beauty is everywhere and everybody is beautiful. Show highlights include traditional acts such as infamous fan dances and plenty of stocking peels, to modern incorporations like that of fire spinning and dark, macabre situations. Johnny D's, love for Music began at a young age. With his passion for House, Club, dance and R&B it was only a matter of time before he found a career as a DJ. In 1998 he started his career path by spinning at friend’s parties - which very quickly segued from volunteering to becoming a sought after professional DJ. Much like the music scene Johnny has stayed ahead of the curve transitioning from vinyl and CD’s to his current platform; using a MAC with Midi controller.He has successfully landed gigs from Club work in Miami and Fort Lauderdale to DeeJayeing Rosie's outdoor Pride event 3 years in a row. “I remember one of my favorite gigs was a birthday party on an 80' charter boat filled to capacity, the energy and intensity of that night was electrifying!”

Diana Laura , As a young girl Diana Laura used to make paper dolls and designed clothes for them.As she grew older Diana's interest in Fashion Designing grew as did her interest in painting. She graduated from International Fine Arts in Miami and Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. She completed a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts May 2000. She received an award for best Portfolio.Diana then started working as a free lance fashion designer for several Fashion Designer houses in New York, Boston and South Florida.Diana worked with very well known Fashion Designers as DKNY, Calvin Klein, Betsey Johnson, JessicaMclintock and others she became very close to the Fashion world working as a fashion stylist and a Free-lance Fashion designer. She also has her own clothing line named "Kala Designs" and is an experienced model and TV Host that has participated as a Fashion Reporter for FTV in New York where she interviewed and covered Fashion Shows and Designers . But her real passion has always been painting so she decided to start painting and started a very unique techniqe using mixed mediums, such as: acrylics, fabrics,watercolors, oils, precious stones, Jewels, crystals, and anythings that comes form her edgy imagination. She even use rea make up and seal it on the canvas.Her artwork is unique,three dimensional and a true celebration to the feminine anatomy.
