File under the "so random we had to publicize it" file -- and wait for the whole enchilada, because this party sports some funky sauce. This weekend, hip-hop supa-produca and Miami resident Timbaland is holding the Beach Ball Festival, a competition among 12 South Beach hot spots in a sort of beach-bound X-Games. Employees from Nobu, Space, Crobar, Cafeteria, Amika, Joe's Stone Crab, and more will run relays, climb a rock wall, battle in a tug-of-war, and get aggro over dodge ball, trying to compete for an array of medals and raise money for the cystic fibrosis foundation. Now here's where it gets good: Platinum-maned, Swedish Playboy Bunny Victoria Silvstedt will be on-hand as "celebrity judge," while reggae crooner Maxi Priest and '90s jittery alt-rock faves Live will provide the musical accompaniment. The price of admission includes full open bar all day and all the gawking your eyeballs can handle. Expect plenty of radical buffness, and try not to get sand in your cocktail.
The Beach Ball Festival runs from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday, April 10, on South Beach between Eighth and Ninth streets on Ocean Drive, Miami Beach. Tickets cost $20. Call 1-877-877-7677.
