Britney performed at the American Airlines Arena twice last year.
Everyone -- meaning, uh, people with too much time on their hands on the Internet -- flipped their shit yesterday when word got out that Britney Spears was spotted over the weekend in Miami. She touched down with manager Larry Rudolph and boyfriend Jason Trawick. They all stayed at the Setai, and People reports Britney was "seen heading into a recording studio."

Nobody has bothered to report which studio, though; I'm going to guess it was probably Hit Factory/Criteria in North Miami. Why? She might be working with golden producer gone bad, Scott Storch, who updated his Facebook page on January 21 to say he had finished a track with Spears called "Second Chances." (What an a propos title for this pairing.)

Then again, her recording session this past weekend might be unrelated. There is, after all, a recording studio at the top of the Setai, although the entrance and elevator access to it are both so closely guarded, only a hotel mole would know if someone went up. Hmmmm.

Spears is no stranger to recording in Miami. She previously worked with Storch in his salad days at the Hit Factory about five years ago, but none of those tracks wound up on any studio albums.
