Check Out the Trailer for the P.A.T.H. Documentary
The P.A.T.H. School of Hip-Hop Culture, run by Brimstone and partner Amit Regev, is one of the most worthwhile homegrown music-related projects in a long time. You can read more about it in a recent Crossfade post here, but to sum up, it's a homegrown, labor of love summer camp dedicated to preserving hip-hop culture. What's more, Brim and Regev have worked their asses off to make this accessible to whoever deserves to attend, with most campers attending on full scholarships, and everybody getting a free daily lunch.
Last summer marked the inaugural edition of P.A.T.H., and the team made sure to capture everything on film. Brim tapped filmmaker Dan Perez to document the birth of the camp -- the first of its kind in Miami-Dade -- and turn the footage into a movie. The film is helping gain Brimstone and Regev some much-needed traction, and they just traveled to D.C. last weekend to screen it. Here's the trailer.
More information about the camp is available at pathtohiphop.com. Registration is open now, until June 30.
