A native of Richmond, Virginia, and occasional resident of South Florida, singer/songwriter Christian McGee picks up many of the musical threads let out by the millennial neosoul movement. Songs like "Give Me Your Love" hark back to the vintage sexy soul crooning of artists like Teddy Pendergrass. Others, like "Like Uhh," bend back unapologetically toward radio-friendly hip-hop beats. Interestingly, though, McGee got his musical start playing bluegrass guitar as a child, and this kind of nimble-fingered picking often recurs in his multigenre soup.
