5. Sith-Mas: Star Wars Christmas Cosplay Party

10 p.m., Friday, December 19, at District 15, 15 W. Las Olas Blvd., Fort Lauderdale. No cover. 21 and up. Visit Facebook.

May the force be with you this Friday at District 15's Sith-Mas event. The second annual Star Wars-themed Christmas party will feature dark beats spun by DJs LinderSMASH and Lorenzo DJ Kaos Fernandez and performaces by burlesque gals, hopefully all dressed like Princess Leia!

If Santa Claus and Darth Vader were able to procreate, this party would be their offspring. So what does one wear to this event? A sexy Santa suit with Darth Maul mask to confuse? Probably. We also like the idea of a Yoda adorned with Christmas lights and wreath hat.

The newly opened FaMa Studios is bringing the best in disco with New York's vinyl legends DJs Luis Mario and Jimmy Yu. They'll be helping you get your Saturday Night Fever going while swirling around a "professional" dance floor.

The event is BYOB, just like in college, so cheap's on the menu. Now get ready to do the hustle!

Lavola and Raggy Monster are all on our minds right now at New Times. Lavola's latest release made our best of 2014 local albums list and Raggy Monster is one act we were tickled to hear are staying together. Special guests Johnny Raincloud and the Downers and the Psymatics will be joining these two acts in celebrating their awesome albums at Respectables. This is a show not to be missed.

2. Third Annual Ugly Sweater Bar Crawl

7 p.m., Friday, December 19, Downtown Himmarshee, SW Second St. and SW Third Ave., Fort Lauderdale. $10 cover. Visit Facebook.

What if every time you drank, it was for a good cause? That would save the world, we thinks.

Tonight you can start on this fantasy endeavor at the Third Annual Ugly Sweater Bar Crawl. Ten bucks for the crawl goes toward Wilton Manors' nonprofit Kids in Distress. The debauchery starts at Bull Market and continues to other fun Himmarshee spots.

Make sure your reindeer adorned and tinsel covered tacky sweater reaches full ugly potential; there will be an an ugly sweater contest with prizes for both the ugliest and the sexiest sweater. If you want to continue drinking for charity, SantaCon is the next night.

Ho, ho, ho!
