County Grind's favorite medieval metal band, Bladesong, and ten other music acts rising from the ranks of Florida Atlantic University are featured on a new album dubbed the CompOWLation Vol. 1, set for release November 5. All recordings were created at the university by students in the Commercial Music program. The rest of the musicians are ska band Sir Veza, the R&B stylings of Danny B., rapper Marcus Banks, hardcore act Bell Tower Falls, rap group GST, as well as Fireside Prophets, Chris Maners, jazz fusionists the Blue Nuke Trio, Greg Thompson, and James E. Cunningham.
