Ah... the sugary bliss of Little Anthony and the Imperials' six decades-long career. From the fame-making super-smash-hit "Tears on My Pillow" to the woman-done-me-wrong angst of "Hurt So Bad" to the ass-shaking "Shimmy, Shimmy Ko-Ko Bop," Little Anthony and the Imperials have certainly cemented their role in American music. With a recent a cappella album and a reunited lineup that's been doing the oldies circuit since 1992, it seems that they are the little doo-wop group that could. Maybe it's Anthony Gourdine's trademark mischievous smile that has endeared these men to fans across the world. Either way, the Imperials are here, and they're joined by Jay Siegel and the Tokens, the Mystics, and Bowzer and the Stingrays. So shimmy, shimmy that.

Little Anthony and the Imperials perform Tuesday, September 5, and Wednesday, September 6, at the Hard Rock Live, 5747 Seminole Way, Hollywood. Doors open at 7 both nights. Tickets cost $30 to $60. Call 954-523-3309, or visit www.ticketmaster.com.
