Junior Boys Coming to Vagabond October 24

With the release of 2009's Begone Dull Care, Junior Boys are about to embark once again on a North American tour that surprisingly brings them all the way down to Miami, with the Vagabond hosting the pair October 24. And since Halloween is basically right around the corner from that date, attendees are encouraged to come dressed up in costume, with the best ensembles winning CDs and T-shirts. The Halloween attire is actually being encouraged through out the whole tour. Why?
"Part of being a young Jewish kid to me was directing all of your excitement that should've been for Christmas towards Halloween. I was obsessed with Halloween as a kid, I waited for it impatiently, lamented it when it was over," explains Jeremy Greenspan, one-half of Junior Boys. "When it came about that we would be touring around the release of our single called 'Bits and Pieces' during October, all sorts of Halloween fantasies started churning up in my mind. So although we couldn't quite afford full on GWAR-style theatrics, we are hoping that people come to the shows in a Halloween kinda mindset (and attire), and help us ring in Samhain all month long."
And if the Miami tour stop isn't good enough news, the release of the upcoming single "Bits and Pieces" will feature a remix by German DJ/production duo Modeselektor as well as a video by Final Fantasy visual collaborator Stephanie Comilang.
Stay tuned for further updates including ticket prices. We leave you the video for the duo's breakthrough, "In The Morning," after the jump.
