In case you hadn't noticed, throughout the course of the last year Luis Fonsi has vaulted to the much sought after and seldom attained elite status in the Latin Pop world, to stand among the heavyweights in the genre. It almost seems as though he's achieved this rather quietly, lacking the general circus atmosphere surrounding artists of this caliber. But the charts indicate otherwise. He's just recently released his third single off Palabras del Silencio (Words From Silence), titled "Llueve Por Dentro," and if his previous two--"No Me Doy Por Vencido" and "Aqui Estoy Yo"--are any indication, it's headed for the number one spot on Billboard's Latin Pop chart.

He also recently took home a record-setting 10 awards from Univision's Premios Juventud earlier in July, and finds himself in the middle of an extensive US tour, which will bring the Miami native home to the James L. Knight Center on August 22.
