Last October's Matt & Kim show at Culture Room was a big, sweaty party featuring an assortment of tween fashions, crowd-walking, and unabashed revelry. This will undoubtedly happen again in June when M&K's infectious glee hits Culture Room.
The June 5 show also features another act prone to onstage antics in the Thermals, a Portland-based act rivaling Ted Leo as top purveyor of primo fiery pop songs with punk attitude. Why isn't "A Pillar of Salt" isn't blasting in your ears already? Based upon past experiences with both bands, there could be a lot of permanent marker tattoos showing up on Thermals' frontman Hutch Harris' chest.
