Greg Dulli and Mark Lanegan premiered the first material from their Gutter Twins project on MySpace last week. The duo, dubbed as the “Satanic Everly Brothers,” will be releasing Saturnalia on Sub Pop on March 4. Get on their space to stream a couple of tracks, including “Idle Hands,” which Dulli says, “fuses Middle Eastern exoticism with shocking guitar riffs that shoot AC/DC boogie into another fucking galaxy.”
Future Proof
If you were lucky enough to be on the Futureheads’ Christmas-card-slash-mailing list, “Crash” should've landed in your inbox a few weeks ago. No word on whether the song will make the final tracklisting on May’s This is Not the World, but if you missed out, you can stream it at the group’s MySpace page. “The Beginning of the Twist” has been announced as the first proper single from LP3, and here’s the band previewing it live on the street for unsuspecting Londoners.
3030 Vision
Del tha Funkee Homosapien is straying from camp Hieroglyphics for his fifth solo album, 11th Hour, due in March on Definitive Jux Records. Grab a sample below, thanks to Pitchfork. Also due from Del sometime in 2008 is Delton Event II, the long-awaited second chapter in his side project with Kid Koala and Dan the Automator.

M. Ward is teaming up with singer/actress/star child Zooey Deschanel for She and Him. The duo’s debut, Volume One, won’t be released until March, but check out their covers of Ricky Nelson’s “Lonesome Town” and Screamin’ Jay Hawkins’ “I Put a Spell on You” performed earlier this month at L.A.’s Songs of the City event.

Moby, Dick
I stopped paying attention to Moby once he planted himself on that giant soapbox and got greedy (see The Moby Equation), but the nine-minute trailer mix for Last Night suggests that LP6 might be a break from the usual car-ad soundtrack. Check it out it here ). The album’s due in March, and the bald one describes it as “a love letter to dance music in New York City.”
