An intimate Monday night at Radio-Active Records was spent dodging rain and overzealous homeless dudes.

The audience that consisted mainly of the performing bands, staff, a handful of music enthusiasts, and shoppers made for a cozy school night to kick off the South Florida leg of Mr. Clit and the Pink Cigarettes' tour. A brief conversation with the members gave some insight into their depraved perspectives and downright scandalous road trip.

New Times: Greetings, Mr. Clit. I see you have a pink flamingo mascot. What would his or her name be?

Mr. Clit and the Pink Cigarettes, Abby: We have actually have had two flamingo friends. The first one was named Tubbs, followed by his cousin, Goldie.

Excellent, how did Goldie come to be your mascot? Or did you guys join its flock?

It was our friend for our last tour. We tried to join its flock, but our lack of feathers and beaks made us stand out among the other flamingos.

How's the tour going so far?

Superb! We've had a blast.

Any weird tour or Florida stories?

We met some hilarious comedian/magicians who became out new best friends... I just had a strange occurrence at our show last night in St. Pete. We were playing on a rainy winter's night at the Fubar. They were having their annual Nintendo night and they allowed for us to play for them. After our set, a couple asked if I was into women, or if not, could give the husband a blow job. So I did! It was slimy. Or I am lying, and I refused, stuck my tongue out and said "Fooey!" and gave them stickers and buttons for free!

Sounds slimy and gamerific!  How's Indianapolis this time of year?

As we were leaving, we just had an almost blizzard.

Are you guys recording soon?

Actually we just recorded a brand new CD called Calls From the Creeper Volume 6 and have it with us [on tour], but will have our release show when we get home.

Isn't Gabe's [of The Gun Hoes] hat stupid?
Haha. It's actually pretty nice, I mean it protects the top and back part of his head from the rain and possible lightning strikes.

Mr. Clit and the Pink Cigarettes. With Testokra, presented by Audio Junkie, 9 p.m., on January 9 at Lester's, 2519 NW 2nd Street, Wynwood and January 10 at the Poorhouse, 110 SW 3rd Ave., Fort Lauderdale.
