Rascal Flatts and Cassadee Pope Take on West Palm Beach This Weekend

The healing power of music is indisputable. And chances are that if you "feel" something -- anything, anger, love, heartache, etc. -- someone else has already written or performed a song to help you cope. Or at the very least, written a song to help them cope and inadvertently carried you through a tragedy via relatable lyrics.

For country music fans, Rascal Flatts is often the sonic shoulder to cry on, the hand extended to help folks get back on track. The chorus of the group's latest single, "Changed," is aural evidence. "I hit my knees, now here I stand/There I was, now here I am/Here I am/Changed."

According to lead singer Gary LeVox, a shakeup at the group's longtime record label inspired the track.

"After ten years, the record label we were with shut the doors," LeVox said in a recent interview with Columbus, Ohio, radio station WCOL. "Everything in our life, everything we knew in our career, changed."

But "Changed" is about turning a negative situation into a positive one, and before the group lifts you up at Cruzan Amphitheatre on Saturday, it's lending its healing powers to the battered community of tornado-ravaged Moore, Oklahoma. "I love it. [To inspire is] why you want to be a songwriter," LeVox added. "That's why you want to be an artist."
