If you're a fan of today's reggaeton, there's a good chance you're into the romantic crooners that populate the genre. And if you're into that, there's an even better chance you've heard "Te Quiero," which dominated the airwaves of Latin radio and video channels in just about every format for the past year and change. It's not often a single lives longer than George Burns.  But that's just what Flex's hook did. Sing it with me: "Baby te quiero, whoa-whoa...."

The 29-year-old Panamanian comes from the motherland of reggaeton.

Puerto Rico has just built on it and made it their own -- and all my

fellow Salsa-loving Cubans, please stop right there ... there's no need

to beleaguer the point. After a string of success in his homeland, Flex

hit the road in search of international fame, stopping in Mexico before

laying siege to U.S. shores.

And Flex fans, because today is

your lucky day. The Latin Grammy-winner is giving a free concert

tonight at Dolce in South Beach to celebrate the release of his new

album, La Evolución Romantic Style, which dropped yesterday. Doors open at 10 p.m., so be sure to get there early.

Dolce, Ocean Drive at 15th St., Miami Beach. Ages 21+ with ID. 305-672-2221; www.dolcesouthbeach.com
