South Florida According to Brooklyn: Why Didn't Anyone Watch Bad Religion at Warped Tour?

I attended the local stop of the Warped Tour, on Saturday, July 25 at the Cruzan Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach, and was disappointed that no one really watched Bad Religion. I don't get it! These guys are pioneers of punk rock. If it wasn't for them, these young kids wouldn't have bands like the Devil Wears Prada, or the other crap like that, to listen to. (Well, maybe that wouldn't be such a bad thing, but still.)
It bums me out that a lot of the kids there that day didn't seem to have any sense of that history. Bad Religion's first album, How Could Hell Be Any Worse?, came out in 1982 -- some bands playing the Warped Tour today weren't even sucking their mom's teat yet!
Just look at the band's current lineup. Frontman Greg Graffin is probably the most amazing guy ever -- not only is he a punk rock legend, he's got a Ph.D and is a college professor. Then you've got guitarist Brian Baker, who was in the legendary bands Minor Threat and Dag Nasty. Then there's guitarist Greg Hetson, who's been in the band since 1984;he was in the Circle Jerks. Drummer Brooks Wackerman was in Suicidal Tendencies and the Vandals. Then, of course, there's guitarist/vocalist/songwriter Brett Gurewitz, who's the founder of Epitaph Records -- the label without which Warped Tour wouldn't really exist!

It's crazy to me how so many kids chose not to hang out and watch history. They should pick up any Bad Religion album and listen to that instead a lot of the other crap that was played that day.
Five Albums I'm Listening to This Week: 1) Sick of It All, Scratch the Surface. 2) Bad Brains, Omega Sessions. 3) Cro-Mags, Age of Quarrel. 4) Bad Religion, Stranger Than Fiction. 5) Dag Nasty, Wig Out at Denko's.
