Late Wednesday afternoon, South Florida phones, e-mails and social networks blew up with the news that there would be a "secret" show tonight at Propaganda featuring the talents of Surfer Blood, who last week debuted new material at Respectable Street.

This was not to be. Also, will the Palm Beach Gardens Gang record a new song with Har Mar Superstar?

Anyhow, the date was scrapped in favor of a bigger, more ambitious show on Monday. Area notables taking part include Guy Harvey, Young Circles, the Dewars and Band in Heaven. Will this delay to allow for the Warner Bros. bigwigs to fly down to check out the material from the EP the guys are releasing in April (and all these other bands)? Not a theory based upon fact. In any case, we'll be there Monday, and so should a lot of you.

Surfer Blood, Young Circles, Guy Harvey, and Smokestack & the Foothill Fury. 8 p.m. Monday, January 31 at Propaganda, 6 S. J St., Lake Worth. Tickets cost $7. Click here.
