The Bacon Brothers performed at BaconFest?!
Most of us did a double take when we saw that musical family members Footloose megastar Kevin and his brother Michael Bacon were legitimately performing at the hog smorgasbord, better-known as BaconFest, at Seminole Casino Coconut Creek.
At the end of the day, though, it made perfect sense. The event had a gluttonous, tongue-in-cheek aura about it, so who better to lead the festivities than the actor who is six degrees away from knowing everyone and his less-famous (but no less accomplished) sibling.
The Bacon Brothers took it all in stride. New Times was lucky enough to snag a couple of minutes with the duo before they took to the stage to the delight of the pig-ivorous masses. The Brothers Bacon knew full well that they were second billing to the real headliner: the other white meat.
We chatted with them about how much munching of the porcine nature these two do and the possibility of them creating a dance track for South Florida.
