A finer South Florida supergroup has yet to be assembled, in my humble opinion, so it's a wonder we don't see the boys very often. Maybe they understand the concept of creating demand, or maybe they're winging across the pond a little more often these days. Whatever the reason, their upcoming gig is a rare treat, and you should make it a point to check them out. What you'll get is a plateful of straight-up rock 'n' roll -- Replacements-style, for those of you who love smarmy indie namedropping -- done right by a trio of guys who know how to fill you up.

The Enablers perform with the Agency, Secret French Kissing Society, and Fallen from the Sky starting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, December 30, at the Factory, 2674 E. Oakland Park Blvd., Fort Lauderdale. Call 954-564-7625.
