This came after Trump went on television to say that a Black Lives Matter protester
The tweet, which is still up, apparently sources something called the Crime Statistics Bureau, San Francisco, and came from one of Trump's followers. The tweet came without comment but shows purported stats showing that 97 percent of blacks are killed by other blacks and that only 1 percent of blacks are killed by police.
However, the problem with the Crime Statistics Bureau stats are that the data is not only wrong but the Crime Statistics Bureau doesn't even exist.
Actual crime statistics for 2015, which come from the FBI, have not yet been released.
According to 2014's FBI statistics, 82 percent of murdered whites were murdered by whites. Whites killed by blacks in 2014: 14 percent.
The tweet is another addition to Trump's collection of rhetoric that has stirred up accusations of racism and xenophobia, starting with his comments about Mexicans when he kicked off his campaign to his recent comments over tagging Muslims and placing them in a database, and over a Black Lives protester who was beaten up at one his rallies.
On Saturday during a Trump rally in Birmingham, Alabama, Black Lives Matter protester Mercutio Southall Jr. began chanting "Black lives matter!"
Trump shot back, “Get him the hell out of here, will you, please? Get him out of here. Throw him out!”
A fight broke out where several white men punched and kicked Southall.

On Sunday, Trump suggested to Fox news that Southall deserved the beating, saying, "Maybe he should have been roughed up."
