Sorry for the lack of action yesterday, but the NT corporate attorney pulled a post from the blog after my editor sent it to him. It wasted my time and the lawyer was dead wrong, but hey, that's the newspaper business for you. It was a reminder to me that NT has some ninny in it. But it's still only about one-tenth as much ninny as other giant, soulless newspaper corporations, so overall it's not a bad deal.

But it has sort of sapped my will to do this thing today. So I'm just gonna mention that the Palm Beach Post whooped everybody's ass on the Okeechobee dyke thing. And my old site is getting barraged by visits from people looking up stuff on Norman Gitzen, the heroic sculptor of the Siren statue. I've been a little slow to report here that Wellington ended the provocative statue's run in front of the community center recently. The Palm Beach Post's Emily Minor has a sweet little column about it today. Still all the web action on Gitzen is a little strange. The story must have gotten picked up by a major Web site.
