Hey, Fort Lauderdale. Hi. Hello. How are you? You're beautiful. You know this. We know this. But now it's actually official, thanks to a new study that names the Venice of America as among the most physically attractive midsized cities in the country.

This, in addition to already being named the sexiest of all midsized cities in the U.S., pretty much solidifies what we already knew.

Fort Lauderdale is a sexy mofo of a town. Oh, beauty and attractiveness are subjective, you say? Pffft. Stop being jealous and just accept it. Look, the internet says it's true. So if you need us, we'll be over here, gazing at our own reflection in the mirror.

Still, the study, put together by real estate blog Motovo, recognizes that judging attractiveness can be a subjective exercise, so it tried to be as objective as possible when crunching the numbers.

Yes, apparently, there's "physically attractive" data.

To conduct its study, Motovo used a list of all the cities in the U.S. between 100,000 and 200,000 people in size. The total number of cities in that list came down to 173.

From there, it used data from the 2010 U.S. Census as well as business listings and, the final arbiter in all things good taste -- Facebook.

Then, the criteria were set.

The study went as superficial as possible and searched and ranked cities for their health and beauty amenities per capita, such as hair salons, health stores, and spas. It also gathered info on gyms, high-end fashion stores, and trendy clothing stores.

The study also took available dentists per capita into account as well as the percentage of people with good hygiene, who shower with soap and use deodorant. This last one was apparently conducted through Facebook.

It even factored in the beauty of each city's scenery in its final tally.

The data was then crunched and thrown into Movoto's special algorithm called the Big Deal Score calculator.

Using this format, each city was ranked in each category from one to 173, with scores closer to one being better.

From there, Motovo was able to put together a top ten list, placing Fort Lauderdale fifth, behind Bellevue, Washington; Columbia, South Carolina; Dayton, Ohio; and Knoxville, Tennessee.

From Motovo:

For tan beauties with great fashion sense, Fort Lauderdale definitely takes the cake.

Lovely beaches and great swimsuit weather seem to really bring out the beauty of this city, as well as its beautiful locals. Of course, these are no beach bums. Over 10 percent of locals here Liked soap, deodorant, or hygiene on Facebook.

There were other great numbers, too. This city had the 14th best fashion, the 11th most beauty amenities, and a fair number of gyms and dentists to go around as well.

Whether folks are suiting up or changing down into that new bikini, they're bound to look simply gorgeous.

Just don't call these folks vain. They also love to pamper their minds, with places like Broward Center for the Performing Arts and cultural museums being abundant.

Awww yeah....

Suck on that, Cleveland!
