City Clerk and Commissioners,

There reportedly was an incident that took place at the Himmarshee Sidebar on Fri, Dec. 29, 2006 where the son of commissioner Carlton Moore and two of his friends appeared at the bar.

The bouncer, who is black, asked them to leave due to their not having adequate identifications to verify their ages. Commissioner Moore's son then allegedly became belligerent, stating who his father was and that they did not have to leave. The detail duty officer from Fort Lauderdale Police, along with the bouncer removed Moore's son, handcuffed him while

a Notice to Appear was being written. City manager George Gretsas, officer Frank Adderley, commissioner Carlton Moore and others arrived on the scene. The Notice to Appear and citation was withdrawn and charges dropped. Employees and witnesses were required to give tape recorded statements -in the presence of commissioner Moore, the city manager and others.

In an attempt to verify the incident and clarify the details, pursuant to Florida Statute(s) 119.1 et seq, this is a public records request. If you are claiming any exemptions to any of these public records, please cite the specific statute(s) for each exemption you are claiming.

Please provide copies of the following public records:

1. The arrest citation/Notice to Appear that was issued and then withdrawn to and from commissioner Carlton Moore's son at the Hammarhsee Side Bar during the Dec. 29, 2006 incident.

2. Copy of the witness list compiled related to the incident at the Himmarshee Sidebar.

3. Transcripts of the 911 calls related to the incident.

4. Transcripts of the statements taken related to the incident.

5. Copy of the incident/police report related to the arrest and un-arrest of commissioner Moore's son.

6. Copy of the supplemental incident report done by the shift supervisor about the arrest and un-arrest.

I thank you for your attention to this matter,

Elgin Jones ------------------------------------------------------------------
