Today's South Florida forecast calls for a high of 94, which puts us just two fragile degrees below Fort Lauderdale's record high for this day.
But the residents of this region have an annoying habit of taking their usually bearable weather for granted. And so it's in that spirit that I remind the self-pitiers that you're not in Timbuktu, where they're bracing for a high of 104 degrees and currently witnessing the vaguely apocalyptic phenomenon of "blowing dust."
