Orlando, 305, and The Earl
You think it's bad at the Sun-Sentinel or Miami Herald? Check this out. One of the saddest things I've seen.
Also a couple of blog posts I've been meaning to link. One is from Critical Miami regarding Category305, the online pub started by New Times alums Celeste Fraser Delgado and Rebecca Wakefield. Alesh at CM predictably focuses on the design of the site, an area where he's extremely savvy and well-schooled. He gives some tough love. (Make sure to read the comments on that post, too).
And here's another take on the Maucker E & P award. It comes from Sun-Sentinel alum Donna Pazdera who now teaches journalism at a college in Texas. I like her blog's title: "Stranger Than Nonfiction."
