Boca Raton poet Renda Writer has campaigned hard to be a guest on the Ellen Degeneres Show for more than four years. Today, he wants to get as many people as possible to vouch for him by posting on Degeneres' Facebook wall or even emailing her directly.
So, why Ellen? "I've always just found her appealing," he said. "She's just super-inspiring."

He's such a fan that this past January, he held
an art show featuring dozens of portraits of the hostess. In January 2012, he's planning on doing a similar show, this time in L.A. and with 50 artists from across the country. He said proceeds from the show would benefit an antibullying nonprofit, a cause Degeneres embraces.
Writer
said that he may be zealous in his approach but that what separates him from a
fanatic is the fact that he's using this as an opportunity to showcase
his work. "I'm not all 'I know her address; I know the names of her pets.' I'm not crazy with it," he said.
He
said he wants to make it on the show some time this season, but if it
doesn't happen, he'll shoot for the next one. "Well, it's my goal," he
said. "You've got to have some kind of goal in your life to get you
through the day."
