Rob Lopicola, Former Weatherman Accused of Sex With Boys, Set to Stand Trial
A trial is set for former WPTV-Ch. 5 weatherman Rob Lopicola for June.
Lopicola, 45, was arrested last July on charges he engaged in unlawful sexual activity with teen boys he met on Craigslist.
Basically, Lopicola allegedly lured the boys via some pretty heinous text messages before meeting with them. They also allegedly exchanged graphic photos. He then allegedly performed fellatio on the 15-year-old, who lived in Boca Raton at the time, and the 17-year-old, who hailed from West Palm Beach.
Oh, and we at New Times once named Lopicola Best Weathercaster. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!
Among some of the more graphic text messages Lopicola exchanged with his 15-year-old victim (again, warning, they're graphic):
-I realy like u! we have a big age difference, im a lot older, cud b yor dad. U sure u want an older boyfriend and a bigger muscular guy too?
-I wud wana be like yor dad but yor lover

Lopicola's trial is scheduled for the week of June 24, according to the Palm Beach State Attorney's Office.
