We just got word that all of the Haitian orphanages run by the South Florida-based non-profit Planting Peace are upright and the children are, as Planting Peace founder Aaron Jackson put it, "OK." In addition, the two University of Florida students who were in Haiti shooting a documentary about Jackson and Planting Peace are "alive and well."

Jackson is still trying to get to Haiti, but this ends nearly two full days of worry, as there was no word from inside the severely traumatized island nation.

Planting Peace, with some small assistance from actor Rainn Wilson, will continue handing out food, water, and medication in Haiti, and providing shelter to those in need.
