Back in July, the downtown Fort Lauderdale art space the Bubble held a memorable fashion show as part of a Red Eye satellite party. Several hundred people showed up to see local fashion designers and artists showcase their work. Models twirled in front of judges, and local musicians provided the soundtrack to the festivities. But it was the interplanetary glam-fab superstar Travulous, an oddball performer who channels Ziggy Stardust and preaches far-out themes such as love and open-mindedness, who controlled hearts and minds. Well, the Bubble has brought him back to spread some more cosmic cheer for the holidays through a theatrical medium the venue has never tried before: the musical.
