You've really not lived until you've tried the heavenly combination that is Southern-fried chicken and waffles. The dish, if it's accurate to call it that, is probably best known because of the chain of Los Angeles eateries, Roscoe's House of Chicken and Waffles. In practice, it's a mingling of flavors that makes much more sense than you'd think: the crunchy, savory chicken is an excellent foil for the sweet, doughy, syrup-covered waffles.
