The Miami Dolphins should still be a little heady after their improbable victory over the New England Patriots two weeks ago. But while Ronnie Brown and company completely ravaged the Pats in Foxboro thanks to a brilliant series of trick plays and a stifling defense led by Joey Porter, they’ll find much tougher going this Sunday when the San Diego Chargers visit Dolphin Stadium (2269 Dan Marino Blvd., Miami). Why? Phillip Rivers. Despite being voted the league’s MLDR (Most Likely Date Rapist), Rivers has played excellent football so far, tossing nine TDs through three games. Plus, his partner in crime (on the field, mind you), LaDainian Tomlinson, finally looks to be recovered from a debilitating toe injury. The Chargers should, in all honesty, thrash the Fins today at 1 p.m., but the news isn’t all bad: Aside from a November visit to Denver, this might be the toughest date on the Fins’ cupcake schedule. Tickets start at $41. Call 1-888-FINS-TIX, or visit www.ticketmaster.com.
