Even denim baffles you: high-waisted, skinny, ultra-mega-distressed – these choices keep you up at night. If you’re that hung up on the basics, how will you ever be able to make the big decisions, like about your office wardrobe or – gulp – evening wear? Thanks to the students of Lynn University’s Fashion Management department, you don’t have to. These dutiful thread hounds keep up on all of the latest runway trends, and they’re sensible enough to know that haute couture doesn’t always translate to “wearable.” And it is for you, the textiled-challenged, that they are putting on the Downtown Fashion Rocks Showcase at Dr. Feelgood’s (219 W. Clematis St., West Palm Beach) this Friday night.

The student-run extravaganza uses this season’s latest lines, combed diligently from local malls and boutiques, to provide a club-styled runway experience. But that’s not all you get from attending tonight; the pre-party activities include a silent auction and happy hour. Score all kinds of goodies, like a Vince Neil autographed guitar, Florida Panthers merchandise, and loads more during the auction – it’s for a good cause. Your greenbacks go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Auction kicks off at 6 p.m.; fashion show starts at 8:30. Attending the fashion show is free.
