Unfortunately, state law still bans the use of the miracle weed as medicine in Florida. Among efforts to correct this injustice is tonight’s Medical Marijuana Benefit at Stage 84 (9118 W. State Road 84, Davie). Space Hippie Worldwide Ministries has organized musicians, guest speakers, and volunteers (still in need of a few if you’re interested in helping out) to help make progress in the direction of a sane policy on medical marijuana via a signature campaign for PUFMM.org’s (United for Medical Marijuana) referendum petition. Whether you’re a Cheech-and-Chong-style cannabis enthusiast, a chemo patient desiring leafy relief, or a nonganjafied advocate for fair access to medicine, this event will provide the opportunity to develop your understanding of the issue and entertain you as well.
