We’ve all agreed as a society that the one thing that is unmockable, that we as a community understand can never be made fun of, is kids with cancer. That still holds true, but just because it’s horribly wrong to laugh at them doesn’t mean it’s wrong to laugh with them. The Delray Beach Arts Garage is presenting Dani Girl, a dark comedy about a 9-year-old who loses her hair to cancer and figures the only way to get it back is to discover the reason cancer exists. She’s not embarking on this journey alone, however, as her hospital roommate and guardian angel accompany her. Dani Girl is playing for one night only on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the Arts Garage, located at 180 NE First St. in Delray Beach. Tickets cost $15 to $20 in advance and $20 to 25 at the door. Call 561-450-6357, or visit artsgarage.org.
