Meet the Crew of WPB

We don't know if y'all are aware, but we got a shitload of art walks all over the place in South Florida. FAT Village, Las Olas, Hollywood, North Beach, to name a few, but those are Broward County art walks. We're heading up north Thursday. We haven't been to "the District" yet, but we know someone up there who boasts that it's the best-attended art walk in WPB, so we figure, that's a good place to start. If one of us has been to the District's art walk, that staffer hasn't been kind enough to share the news (and her or she had better not admit to this now), so we will just see for ourselves. Palm Beach County, we're gonna see what you got when it comes to your sidewalks and roads -- whatever passage we must use to get to your art -- because we're going to check out all of your studios and galleries: Roly Chang Barrero Studio, Denny Reed Studio, Richard Beau-Lieu Studio, Lea's Lounge Studio, ActivistArtistA Gallery, and the Neighborhood Art Galley. (At ActivistArtistA Galley: The art walk will coincide with the opening of "A Stroke of Genius: The Exhibit.") We're going to meet your artists. We know you have crews up there -- well, we know you have one crew up there. We're even going to meet you guys, the KeroWACKED Crew, members Andrew Ackerman, Roly Chang-Barrero, Chan Shepherd, and Lea Vendetta. We've meant Vendetta, who is now back home after competing on the TV show Inkmaster, where she shows her tattooing skills by competing for money and a nifty title. (Season premiere was Tuesday, January 17.) But we will be there to meet the rest of ya. The Art Walk 2012 is from 5:30 till 9 p.m. at the District (422 W. Industrial Ave., Boynton Beach).
