Downsizing doesn’t always have to be a bad thing. Take the “Small Stuff 3” exhibit that opens today at the Bear and Bird Boutique. For the third year, an eclectic group of more than 50 local, national, and international artists will showcase their small-scale art — from paintings to embroidery to illustrations — and the biggest piece will only measure 8 x 10 inches! To boot, the exhibit itself will be going down in size as the day progresses because all pieces bought can be taken home on the spot. Just in time for the gift-tastic holidays! In order to see the complete collection, curated by Bear & Bird owner Amanda Magnetta-Ottati, be sure to attend the mimosa-infused brunch-style opening reception at 1 p.m. this Sunday. The exhibit ends January 9th. So log off Etsy and come see indie art in the flesh. The Bear and Bird Boutique (4566 N. University Dr., Lauderhil) is located upstairs from Tate’s Comics. Call 954-748-0181, or visit bearandbird.com.
