As beach-loving Floridians, there's really only one thing we fear: sharks. But a close second is melanoma. July is UV Safety Month, and what's the best way to raise awareness about the most common form of cancer in 25- to 29-year-olds? Have more than 450 women dress in their bikinis, of course! The folks at beachside club Exit 66 are asking hordes of scantily clad women to join the cause and set a world record for the most-ever bystander erections, er... I mean, the most ladies dressed in bikinis in one parade. Before the Bikini Parade, participating ladies will make a big show of going through the "SunWise" prep station to get them ready to defeat the sun's rays. They will receive sun visors, UV400 sunglasses, SPF 15 lip balm, a one-ounce shot glass with sunscreen inside it, and a bottle of Gatorade to prevent any dehydration during the mile-long walk along Fort Lauderdale beach. Ladies can register online (it's free) and show up Saturday starting at 1 p.m.; the parade is at 4 p.m., followed by a pool party that lasts until 8 p.m. at Exit 66's pool, a 10,000-square-foot "oasis of pure Fort Lauderdale Beach bliss."
