Wine should really be its own food group. That magic elixir of the gods has oh so many applications: ancient source of hydration, flavor magnifier, stress reliever, imaginary boyfriend. While it frequently serves as your lonesome friend, the heavenly nectar is best consumed with food — in public. This Thursday, Vic & Angelo’s in Delray Beach is hosting an Italian dinner featuring Livernano and Casalvento wines.
Starting at 7:30 p.m., the dinner includes a four-course menu, designed by executive chef Erick Miranda, each course paired with wines from the neighboring historic Tuscan estates — Livernano was actually a town that dates back to the Etruscans. Livernano/Casalvento rep Julie Butcher will be onsite to discuss the wines. The cost of the dinner is $75 per person; reservations and prepayment are required. Vic & Angelo’s is located at 290 E. Atlantic Ave. in Delray Beach. Call 561-278-9570, or visit vicandangelos.com.
