If you were in a fraternity or a sorority during college, you probably remember the head-splitting hangovers you endured, the keg stands you attempted, and the messy (and nasty) frat houses you stepped in. And if you really think back to the good old days, you might find a few hazy memories of philanthropic events. Though most guys join frats for the killer parties and never-ending supply of beer, those aren’t the only things Greek like offers. Occasionally, you have to fulfill community service hours or raise money for charity. None of those events come to mind? Well, the creators of PhilanthroFest must have killed fewer brain cells than you did in college. The team has put together an outdoor festival to showcase South Florida’s philanthropic organizations, community resources, and cultural arts. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about more than 75 philanthropic organizations and resources. There will also be musical performances, local artwork on display, food, and live entertainment.
