Whereas birds do it for Slonem, horses bring out the painter in Donna Long, whose Survey of Recent Works also shows at the museum through April 24. Long has a background in photography, having shot the Dalai Lama and other spiritual bigwigs while an artist in residence in New York City. She came to painting in her 60s and channels her love of horses into vibrant equine portraits. Tickets cost $10. Call 954-340-5000, or visit csmart.org.
