If you drink beer with your meal, then you know how satiated you will feel when you're finished. The last Mack House beer dinner sold out in three days, which speaks for itself. On Thursday, Roho Kitchen is hosting the Mack House Beer and Food Pairing starting at 7:30 p.m. First course is a bluefin tuna tartar, crisp wontons, and house-made kimchi paired with Honey Lime Summer Ale (5.5 percent ABV). Second course is duck confit, guava barbecue, jalapeño corn bread, and kale salad paired with Panic Attack (10 percent ABV). Third course is steel-cut oatmeal risotto, goat cheese, and bacon-tomato jam paired with OutKast IPA. Fourth course is albóndigas with rioja-braised onions and migas paired with Black Mamba (5.5 percent ABV). Fifth course (dessert) is chocolate ganache cake, pistachio cream anglaise, apricot-bourbon compote, and cinnamon chantilly paired with Panic con Pablo (10 percent ABV). Sounds more akin to a feast than simply a pairing. Be prepared, because these things are no joke. Tickets cost $40 and can be ordered through PayPal at the Mack House's website at flales.com. Sales tax is included (gratuity is not), and seating is limited. Call Roho Kitchen at 954-200-2895.
