Florida fashion has to be cutting-edge and climate-friendly. Fashion-industry hopefuls vying to make their mark here have to pull double duty as well. Diana Kramer (dinkadesigns.com) might be a fashion designer, but for her upcoming show at Gallery 101 (3354 NE 33rd St., Fort Lauderdale), she also has to be an event organizer, publicist, and model wrangler. The show itself is more than a fashion show; it is also the opening event for “Glamour Girls,” the latest collection by local artist Robin White (robinwhiteart.com) — who will herself also be working the runway. Another model, Nicole Esposito, will also be doing makeup. As for the rest of the models, they’re also competitive dancers, students of Diana Kramer, who teaches ballroom dancing in her spare time (whenever that is). The event is from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday and is free, as is the gallery, which is open from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. “Glamour Girls” will run through May 21. Visit thegallery101.net, or call 954-882-1861.
