You’re well-versed in the vodkas and gins of the bar, but absinthe is one highly-potent brew that’s always flown under the radar -- until now. Legend has it that, if you take a sip of the fabled, green-tinted elixir, your mind will journey to places that your eyes haven’t seen. It’s only right that a show of the same name will have a similar effect on your psyche – the only difference is, beneath the yards of brocade and behind the dozens of mirrors of Spiegelworld (at Collins Park, 2100 Collins Ave., Miami Beach), what you see is real. In this sultry circus presentation of Absinthe, transvestite divas will serenade you, trapeze artists will seduce you from high in the air, and your libido just might pulse in appreciation.

This summer the show titillated sold-out audiences in New York with risqué fun that’s more intimate than Cirque du Soleil, but it kept audiences safe from unwanted lap-play, like a bouncer at Tootsies. Don’t let the giddy atmosphere and cotton-candy colors fool you, this show is for adults only. No worries if the sitter bails; the show runs until February 17. Tickets are $69 (even the price is kinky!). Tonight’s show starts at 8 p.m. Visit www.spiegelworld.com.
Thursdays-Sundays. Starts: Dec. 27. Continues through Feb. 17, 2007
