Different nationalities are known for different things. The English are known for being uptight. The French are known for snobbery. The Germans: rigid perfection. And then there are the Irish. No nationality screams fun more than the Irish. Would you expect otherwise from the people who own the most pubs worldwide? We didn't think so. If you're looking to have some fun this weekend, you'll probably want to hit up the 25th anniversary of Irish Fest on Flagler.
The two-day event kicks off Saturday, starting at noon, and runs until 11 p.m. -- it ends Sunday at 8 p.m. The festival features traditional Irish food, dancing, and music. This year's headliners include a mix of edgy Irish rock bands including Screaming Orphans, Seven Nations, and the Young Wolfetones. Admission is $5 per person. Children 14 and under are admitted free. Irish Fest takes place at the Meyer Amphitheatre, 104 Datura St., West Palm Beach. Call 954-946-1093, or visit irishflorida.org.
