A group of white-clad rapists, one very quick-witted, hang around the corner. Dr. Strangelove is present. Female twins block your path in the hallway on the way to the restroom. But good news Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman wont be having uncomfortable sex with each other on the dance floor, but that vibe, between another man and woman, might be there. Saturday, Club X-It (219 N. 21st Ave., Hollywood) abounds in Stanley Kubricks cinematic visions when South Floridas adult-party team Electrolust brings us its annual Kubrick tribute party: A Clockwork Orgy. Other films to note for inspiration on what to wear, not how to act (in some cases) include Spartacus, Lolita, 2001: A Space Odyssey, The Shining (Heeeres Johnny! wearing fetish gear), and Full Metal Jacket. Kubrick was a man who paid meticulous attention to his art, and you can too. He was obsessed with mans inhumanity to man and perhaps a fetish party is exactly the opposite of that conflict but pain, if its a form of fun for those involved, is so allowed. Fetishism, after all, is about giving people all their people desires. Starting at 9 p.m., goth, industrial, and hardcore tunes will be found blasting off the main stage while drum n bass, electro, house dubstep will fill the air near the area called Electrolusts Dungeon Bass. Throughout the night, performance art and burlesque will be performed in multiple rooms. Fetish-adoring vendors, God bless them, will be present. Sorry, younglings, even at a fetish party, you must be 21 to drink, but, yeah, you kids over 18 are allowed and wanted. Tickets cost $10 for presale, $20 at the door; visit electrolusthollywood1.eventbrite.com to buy them.
