YES! YES! YES! The crowds have shouted. Triumph masks the stale beer air of 5 p.m. Effective immediately, Laser Wolf is now open for happy hour.

You’ve seen it — on Facebook — Friend One was with Friend Two and ten other people at Laser Wolf. And you thought, what is this Laser Wolf? What is this bar that lurks on the outskirts of FAT Village? New Times here awarded it Best New Bar in Broward. Hell, we even went as far as to say a zombie apocalypse would start there. The Fort Lauderdale zombie would be hot and would love craft beer. It all starts at Laser Wolf.

What is the sport of the Wolf, you may ask? Laser Wolf didn’t fall victim to the Heat phenomenon. The Wolf’s sports involve DJs and more craft beer. With a series of its own,“Dances With Wolves,” music is good. But even on a nondance night, when pretty, tatted, indie trendsetters and grunge folk that don’t know how to tie a shoe and young business-casual professionals (they’ve gone mainstream!) sip craft beer along the bar and congregate at the tables out front or out back, you may dance. Because the young men who operate this garden of beer are cool — no judging eyes judged us as we didn’t judge ourselves when we were the only ones dancing on the “dance floor” last night.

When you pee, take notice of the back wall beyond the toilet. Stare down the shark that’s painted on it. Get there early now. Monday through Friday, happy hour starts at 5 p.m., and there will be daily craft specials -- selected beers will be $3 instead of $5; other deals will be spontaneous and vary each day -- till 7 p.m. Hang around; sometimes the dude who sells frozen bananas sets up shop there. No jerks allowed. “Like” Laser Wolf Productions on Facebook if you want updates on the craft selection and the goings-on at Laser Wolf (901 Progresso Drive, Ste. 101, Fort Lauderdale). Call 954-667-9373, or visit laserwolf.com.
